The objective of the turtle breeding facility is to increase the population of sea turtles in their natural habitat in Thai waters. The means of doing this is by using natural and artificial hatching of the turtle's eggs. Young turtles will be reared for a certain period of time then they will be tagged and released into the sea to replenish the natural stocks.

They keep some adult sea turtles, as parent stock for breeding, as a measure to safeguard against the depletion of the sea turtles in Thai waters. They are always trying to improve their breeding and culturing techniques to increase the population. There is a team to do an analysis of the distribution and composition of the stock of sea turtles in Thai waters.

There is also a medical facility to treat hurt sea turtles that the fisherman bring in (if they are caught in their nets).
